Based on a best-selling book of the same title, this movie is thought provoking and asks more questions than it answers. After losing his high-school teaching job, John Woodson (Matthew Settle) reaches a crossroads in his life. Fate seems to steer him toward a trip to Peru, where he becomes involved in the search for the missing ninth scroll to a set of eight ancient manuscripts that are rumored to reveal the future of mankind. Filmed in 2006 it still resonates with the theme of the hero’s inner journey, that we are all on, to discover the treasure within.
Location: 101 Emerald Highlands Way, Sequim, WA.

In the 1960s, Cambridge University student and future physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with fellow collegian Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones). At 21, Hawking learns that he has motor neuron disease. Despite this — and with Jane at his side — he begins an ambitious study of time, of which he has little left, according to his doctor. He and Jane defy terrible odds and break new ground in the fields of medicine and science, achieving more than either could hope to imagine. Eddie Redmayne won Academy Award for best actor playing this challenging roll.
